Commercial PSA tests?

Has anyone had experience with the commercial PSA test kits that are sold over the internet?

I'm faced with a few months wait to see a particular doctor and thought I would get another PSA test soon to see if anything explosive is going on. I'm having trouble learning the Medicare payment routines.

Hi Charley,
I'm not certain I would trust this test. But it would be interesting to see if they work. But for me, if want a test right now, I would call my primary care doctor and tell him to do it and I know he would. In fact I know all my doctors would draw it if I requested it.

I know what it's like waiting though. Your biopsy looks very close to mine, except I had more involvement (90% on some cores). I know that you will have to do something sooner or later.

In Feb I asked my primary doctor for a PSA retest. He balked, but then gove in and did it. Later when I got my Medicare statement it said they only covered a PSA every 6 months. I'm guessing he would do it again and find some way to cover it if I asked. Holy smoke, it's only a $40 test. I'll let you know how it works out through the mail.
