Hello to all. I'm back fro the dark valley that round number 6 of chemo had me in. The sun feels great. Round 6 was by far the worse as side effects go. It took over 2 weeks to get over them this time. But, what is the old saying.........."no pain,no gain". We had the pain and now we have the gain. My PSA dropped, yes dropped, from 13.65 down to 10.46. Praise be to God. He is blessing me and will continue to pour His blessings on me. If you feel led to prayer, you can pray for me. I'll even take well wishes or good thoughts.
The side effects seem to increase with every round. So after a short discussion with my friend and doctor, we are taking the next 6 weeks off from chemo and prednisone. We need to get stronger before we head into the next phase of treatment. The next phase will either be more chemo or the clinical trial. We will make that choice at the end of August. Dr. Windsor gave me a Rx to go to the beach and have some fun. Fun it shall be.
On Saturday I watched to movie "Facing the giants". Go rent this movie. I had seen parts of it before but never the whole thing. What a great message for everyone about life. We all are facing our giants here at HW. We can beat them. We will beat them. I have faced my giant, I know him, and I will beat him. I had made a big mistake in my battle. I have been praying to get more time. What a mistake. Now I pray for healing. If you are a farmer and you need rain, don't just ask for rain. Go out and prepare your fields, it's going to rain. I am preparing my fields and getting ready for a huge harvest.
Love and peace to all. A huge War Eagle to all.
