I wanted to say good bye to all in here. I have appreciate your support in the past year. Although my husband's PCa continues to be under control, the colon cancer is catching up with him. Today, we decided to discontinue the chemo. It is unclear how much time we have left. It is heartbreaking.

Hi Dutchy and Husband,

I've read your post with great sorrow and despair. I am so sorry to read about your situation. Non of us here know what the future has store for any of us, but I hope that the brotherhood here at this forum, has made things a little bit easier for both of you. I'm just sorry that we could not do more.

I to would like to extent my thoughts, I have followed your post from the beginning and it seems as though the journey just kept getting tougher. I hope in the days, weeks, and months to come that as the days seem dim, they can be lit my memories of the friends that know and love you, and that includes all of us hear at healing well. I am heading out to my Champions of Hope of event in a few minutes and I assure you my thoughts will be on the fellowships I have made here and Dutchy that includes you.
I know you are signing off, but I hope you can find the strength to keep us updated as to yours and your husbands condition.

I am very sorry to hear your news, the decision you have made is a courageous one. We never know our future, probably a good thing. I will remember both of you in my thoughts and can only hope that things turn out the way you want them to. Good Luck.

Hello Dutchy: I am so sorry to hear this news. My heart aches for you and your husband. I pray that your time together is full of have peace and love. I pray for a miracle for both of you. You have been such a strong support to everyone here. You will be in my thoughts daily. I understand you must focus everything on your husband, but i hope at times you are able to let us all know how both of you are doing. We will continue to keep you in our thoughts. Once you are part of a family (like Healingwell), you will always be a part of the family. Sort of like adoption. Whether you are here or not, you will always be somewhere in our minds. We wish you the best in difficult times.

Your decision is one which resonates to everyone here. We have all at some point thought "what if?" So we all feel and share your pain. When you hear about people for whom cancer has gotten the better of them, it is a reminder that this is why each and every one of us here fights cancer and is here to support each other.

What a difficult decision, but one which we all hope you find peace with now and in the future.

We will keep you in our thoughts.

Thank you all for your warm replies. I will try to drop a line from time to time.

My husband was able to go to his daughter's wedding this weekend. That meant a lot to him. We're taking it one day at a time, and Im simply hoping for as many good days as possible. I am very happy that we can take care of him at home. I am blessed with my brother in law who has always been extremely helpful, and now has started working from home (we're staying with him).

Karen, our husbands seem so much alike in terms of their illness. I am wishing you a lot of strength.

You have faced so many challenges. You are right, all we can do sometimes is take life one day at a time. That is wonderful your husband was able to attend his daughter's wedding. Please check in when you can and know many good thoughts and prayers are being sent your way.

My sorrow at your trial is . . .  I don't know what it is.  I have been following this message from you and have been unable to reply.  I hope that you somehow find peace and even contentment knowing that you and your husband loved each other well.  My best to you.
