I notice a lot of members don't post their Email addresses, and I am certain it's because of privacy issues. But I write this to let you know that you don't have to use your personal Email addresses if you don't want to. HealingWell provides for Email accounts and they are available to all. If you look up at the second bar you can see EMAIL is an available selection. After you set up your account you can exchange information without worring about
the public posts.
Why you should consider enabling an EMAIL account on your threads:
1> You can keep your privacy. You can make this your address for HealingWell members only. And you won't have to worry about getting spammed in your personal address. While I never have, at least from HW, if you are concerned about it this is a good work around.
2> You can exchange more graphic information. Let's face it, we have a disease of the male reproductive system. There is no easy way to talk in detail about it. Some people may shy away from posting because of it, and to them I would say, don't be shy. And if you want you can talk affline to any member that is willing to open their Email to the membership.
3> Modertors can contact you privately about concerns. This would eliminate a corrective post that might embarass a member. From my tenure as one, I know the Moderators would rather discuss issues offline and give the poster a chance to make it right. it doesn't happen often, but after a couple incidences I can say that I know if we could dialog we can work things out together.
I hope you would consider this option and enable an Email account in your profile.
Happy Postings!
Tony
