had my surgery

hi i  had my surgery open Radical Prostatectomy on the 15/10/2008

Welcome to the other side. Now then, drink lots of water and get to walking as much as you can, to speed recovery and to flush out those toxins left from surgery....lol

good for you brother , it sounds as if all went well were so happy  your on the other side remember ...dont overdo it ,but  dont sit around either walk alot and dont lift anything , i went back to work in three weeks ,and dont for get, your gonna feel good soon ,dont let that trick you into thinking  the surgery and healing are allover ,true the surgery is but not the healing ,i gave it a good 2 months  check in  often were all here for ya good luck...................dirt

hi i live in ireland and our Health Service is a mess no bed on the monday no bed on tuesday got a call at 15:30 on tuesday to go in got the pre surgery tests and had the surgery on wednesday morning the 15/10/08
do not know how long the surgery was i was out cold
in Hospital for 6 days out on the monday at 14.30 got pain killers and paracetamol and a stool softer
the day after surgery in a lot of pain the epidural was not working so i got a Morphine pump i think
and it work great no pain
i have a lot of gas pain and Constipation can not sit for to long and i got the staples out on friday
will have the catheter out on the 13/11/08
with the Health Service hear you can not pick with surgeon you want but i think i got the best in dublin so i was very happy with him and i am geting better by the day
