Enjoy the green tea for it's flavor.  And do try to stay healthy and eat healthy. But your doctor is more than likely right.  He sees this stuff regularly.  In your EM to me you mentioned a 12 core biopsy that came back negative.   I hate to say it, but biopsies in up to 65% of the negatives, missed the cancer.  Why did you have the biopsy? Do you have elevated PSA?

Yes, my PSA has been high since 2006, when it went from 2.0 to 4.0 (40% free). It went to 5.03 in 2008 and I had the biopsy done (age 58). Since one sample was atypical a second biopsy is to be done this spring. It seems that atypical results quite often turn into cancer.

I tried to blame the high PSA numbers on the several thousand miles of bicycle riding I do every year, but the doc wouldn't buy it.

Welcome to the forum. Please don't be reluctant to post as all opinions are valued here and the site is a great source of information. The site has a number of members that like yourself had a clear or inconclusive diagnosis biopsy. But as you have seen in this thread there are also those out there that see a prostate cancer forum purely as a business opportunity perhaps filled with desperate potential customers. So for this reason, as Tony explained, the member's spam radar is always switched on. The usual sign is first time posters who include a link to a site with items for sale so unfortunately this was where you were roped in. I must say your description of the spammer that posted after you as a "gentleman" is most generous on your part.............other and probably more apt, words come to my mind when they post here. Again welcome and I sincerely trust your biopsies will always be negative. Oh, and by the way, I am drinking my green tea as I post this.

Bill, boy do I ever agree with your post, those evil "snake oil" are always trying to prey on our brothers here, need to be on guard all the time. Bad enough dealing with all this PC stuff and deal with that too. Good post

Tony, I just came across this now. Pete is rereading the book. and it is a very good book....Anticancer...a new way of life.......We obviously dont have any ties to any thing, but I also think the book is very interesting reading..by a doctor who has cancer...There are facts and studies to back up his theories. Anyway, I dont know Gmike either!! Di

That was not the link that was deleted.  In fact it's still up for that book.  No problem there.  There was another site selling books that had issues with our criteria but after communication with Michael, I don't think he has affiliation with them.  I will restore that link in the morning rounds. 

As for the other gentleman, he was clearly peddling on HW.  His threads have been deleted by other Mods as well.  Keep reading, Lady Di, or at least Pete...LOL
