Paul, I don't know of any pump that is light enough that would let it cling to the body. I do remember saying in a past thread that my process was to pump up a few times to stretch things, then to pump and put a ring on to hold it erect while I showered, shaved, etc. That may be what you are remembering.
David, they are expensive because the expensive ones are paid for my most insurance companies, so they jack up the price. In my case, I have a prescript
ion for the Osbon VED, $540. However, my insurance will first take off my annual $200 deductible then pay 90% of the rest, leaving me with the $200, plus $34 out of pocket. Here's how to see if you are covered. Call your insurance company and ask them for the coverage benefits for reimbursement of CPT Code L7900. This will be listed as an external prostetic device. They will tell you what they will pay and what you will.
There's alternative that are much cheaper and does the same job as the more expensive ones. Here's links to 2, not recommending anything or any site, but these are cheapest and representative.
