I just read a report on Google with "new" info that says sex and wipping your skippy can cause greater incidence of Pca ? What next ??

I thought i read that those things were good for you nono

Now I've been about a bit but that "wipping your skippy" , an expression I have never heard, sounds to me like it could do you a real mischief.

cvc, thanks for pointing this out. I note that it's a British study. So maybe it only applies to Brits! smilewinkgrin

But seriously, they did not say that sex causes prostate cancer. Rather, the two occur together--men who had a lot of sex were more likely to have prostate cancer. The suggested reason was that men with high sex drives probably had high hormone levels, which might contribute to pc.

Previously, someone else here pointed out a study that linked pc to acne. Which is also linked to hormone levels.

Anyone know of any studies showing rates of PCA in priests as compared to the general population. (No jokes, please)

I am hunting for the source, it wasnt that long ago, may have been a European report, that was saying that men that *********d frequently was much lower risk for PCa. They can't have it both ways.

David, that's what I recall. If masterbution kept it low in one study and abstinence kept it low in another, then there's something screwy somewhere. Is masterbution by priests considered not being abstinent? I really have never heard whether or not.

I saw the study printed from several sources and you are correct, they used to say just the opposite! I think its going to turn into one of those butter or margerine debates. Well, it's to late for us anyway and I serously doubt that any young men are going to let this little article stand in their way of taking care of BIZ!!!

Another angle that concerns me a little, just because I don't know the biology, is after prostate surgery, since you can't ejaculate anymore, and I guess the same with vasectomies, what happens to to what the testes are producing, does it get absorb, just sit there, etc. And is there any negative affect in either case.

David...no problems that I am aware of anyway. I had my vasectomy 23 years ago...but then again I read somewhere that there might be a relationship to getting PCa after having a vasectomy....don't you just love all this nonsense out here...geez.

David, had a vasectomy 38 years ago, they are re-adsorbed I never had any problems from it.

Thanks Les and James. I may have read something in passing about a supposed link between PC and vasectomies. I have never had one, but my oldest son did about 4 years ago. But after my surgery, guess I am neutered too, lol.

At my first PSA, the doctor suggested that sex could be a reason for an elevated PSA. Geez, I knew ********** would cause me to go blind (I stopped at the point where I needed glasses). [img]/community/emoticons/blush.gif[/img]

This just in, breathing can lead to prostate cancer...Not breathing can cure it. I guess they can have it both ways...

LIFE IS A CARCINOGEN!  Live it to the fullest! Everyday is a blessing! Way to many stupid studies funded by imbeciles. Did you know they have now discovered by a study that animals can reason that their actions will cause a desired affect. BRILLANCE CAN BE BLINDING SOMETIMES.
