The catheter came out without fanfare earlier this afternoon and the doc said I was right where he wanted me to be and to expect good results in three to six weeks. I must say that it is nice not to have to worry about carrying that bag around any more. Now I'm doing Kegels and trying to hold off going every five minutes. Not having a clue what to expect, this is still different than what I anticipated. Starting takes almost no effort at all and I seem to be able to Kegel to a stop (as instructed) and then continue. I guess that's a Good Thing. I plan on wearing a full Depends to bed tonight and the mattress is protected but I still expect to be up frequently just to be sure. We'll see...
Still fairly weird but we'll just take it a day at a time and see what happens.
I'll keep y'all posted...
