Hi rammer,
I moved your post here for more attention...Welcome to HealingWell. Stage 4 prostate cancer is typically incurable. Depending on how aggressive it is will help determine if it can be managed well. There are Stage 4 patients that have survived over a decade even longer, and there are those that a short battle. Some of the things you should ask for are:

What is his PSA?
What is his Gleason Score?
Where has it spread to?
What has his doctor suggested as treatment?

If he had a biopsy, then that report is valuable. It will help understand his cancer better. We have a lot of experience here. many doing well with stage 4 and we will be glad to help with things. One thing I will suggest ~ if you are a guy then you need to be tested. If you are a gal, then your son's or other brothers need to be aware of this development.
