I found an article online that stated many companies carry insurance that will cover in part or in whole the cost associated with replacement of the prosthesis, but not the surgical or hospital fees. Has anyone had any experience in this regard with AMS?

It would be a catch 22. If you found a prosthesis with 100% warranty coverage that covered the surgical or hospital fees, the device would cost a fortune more then it already does.
