Just got back in from our trip to Florida.  It was an amazing five days, been so many years since I had been on a real vacation.  It was nice to forget about day to day problems, PC, and all the rest.  Was glad I went ,but was very glad when my youngest son was at the airport to pick us up and get me back to my own home.

It was a very good 35th anniversery, and there's just something about being in a nice hotel with a king size bed and loads of total privacy to make the magic happen.  I think we were almost like honeymooner's again, had 3 great "sessions" in those five days, and that part all work out fine on its own.

Glad to be back, hope all are well here.

I am pleased to see that you enjoyed your vacation but I'll pass on commenting on your "workout sessions" you randy ol' devil. yeah

Tud and Billy, I used my writer's licencse to be descriptive with discretion, my remarks were very PG friendly, lol. If you want the xxx version, go on youtube and look for "hot florida mama", no just kidding.

Rob, it was great to see the little that is left of my wifes family. Both her brothers, their children, and even some of their children 's children. Saw a niece of mine that is 39, hadn't seen her since she was 15.

The break from our normal dull lives was wonderful, and we played the tourist to the full.

Glad to be back with my PC brothers .

Welcome back David...those vacations to get away from it all are so enjoyable aren't they. Summer is around the corner and we are planning to do something on our anniversery as well....late August....we missed doing something last year because of this dang disease.

I hear ya brother...this disease tends to take so much from us that we don't often see it's effects.

Thanks Les, know exactly what you meant, I almost talked myself out of going on this trip, but sure glad I made it, it was nice to be in an exciting place and felt part of the living again, instead of a man with PC and other medical woes. THere really is a whole other world out there. We are now planning, don't know if we can or not at this point, to go to NYC for part of Christmas.

Thanks EdC, missed the board too, been catching up on what's been happening.

Thanks Dale, it was something my poor wife and I needed so bad, more more than we realized. I live less than 200 miles from the ocean and haven't seen it for more than 17 years. Now I just spent 5 days on the Gulf of Mexico and those sugar white sand beaches and swaying palms was overwhelming to say the least.

I was worried the whole trip about having an incontinence "accident", enough to wear a Depends pad on the way down, but never needed it. With me, and I have been 100% dry for more than 2 months now, most of the incontinence thing was more in my head than in my body. The only big difference now compared to pre-surgery days, is I have to go more often, or at least I think that I do, if I feel any urge at all, usually too afraid to push waiting too long so I have lots of little visits to the john. Perhaps one day I will get over that fear too.

I must admit, I did lurk on vacation, didn't sign in or post. We decided to take one laptop because of a few important deals we didn't want to miss out on. Had free wi-fi in the hotel of course, and at the airport, I could hit 6 different unsecured wire-fi's. I just wanted to make sure anyone was alright on HW.

Gee....thanks.........I think..........Brother James....looks like everything was under control and civil at HW while I was gone.

I have been travelling, busy at work, and I am teaching a new class at the parish. Between the two of us, there have been far less 1's than 0's in the data strings at HW...LOL...

Teddy, I like to believe there is always hope in every situation. When we look at statistic and numbers about our PC, they are still just averages. Each of us is different, our medical histories, family traits, immune systems, a million factors.

glad you had a good trip, I know you really needed it. I have been trying to nail down reservations for Mexico Beach for June. We enjoy the quiet side as opposed to Panama City and all the hustle and bustle and if we want to go there its only about 30 min. away. I don't do a lot of postings but I keep up with everybody daily. There sure is a lot of new guys coming along and all the regulars and it's good to keep up with everyone. At any rate I am glad your back.

I would not really have wanted to go to such a congested place as the St. Petersburg area normally, but that is where my wife and her people are from, where we met and got married, where I started in college, etc.

Nice trip, glad to be home.

Greetings, David.  Glad you had a great trip.  My wife and I celebrated 35 years together last year just a few months after my surgery.  I sat in my recliner with my catheter in and my lap top in my lap and planned a great trip to celebrate our anniversary - went to Alaska.  Main thing was to celebrate 35 great years with a fabulous woman as I'm sure you did as well.  Welcome home!  David

RIght you are CPA David. Gee, all these Davids are starting to confuse me! We may have to take turns on the name. I know what you mean, in our day and age, to be married to the same woman for 35 plus years is a rarity, at least in my circles of acquantinences. I wouldn't trade mine for anyone else. We are really hoping to be around for the big 50th one day. Sounds like you had a great trip too. I notice that we are almost the same age, married the same length, and must both be professional accountants.

While you were in St. Pete, I was in Sarasota Memorial having my surgery. It was a bit more difficult then I expected but it turned out just fine, per the surgeon. I was in surgery for over 4 hours. Now we wait for the post-op pathology.

You certainly had good weather while here in paradise and I'm glad you enjoyed the indoor activities, too.
