The other side of Surgery

For those considering surgery I would suggest reading "Surviving Prostate Cancer Without Surgery" by Bradley Hennenfent MD.

This is a good offset to a lot of the claims may by surgeons.

I'm not advocating any treatment options, but in order to make an informed decision about any treatment one must look at the pluses and minuses of the treatment and come to his own informed decision. Hennenefent does a good job pointing out the minuses which are usually not widely discussed.

I'm not suggesting that he is an expert on PC, and I don't agree with everything he says, but he has published in Digital Uology Journal, Techiniques in Urology, and Journal of Pelvic Surgery.
His speciality is prostatitis and BPH.
It's just another point of view that patients should be aware of.
Information is either useful or not useful. We shouldn't dismiss information because we may disagree with it. Most urologist that write books are pro surgery even though other treatments have the same cure rates. We don't dismiss the information just because they are pro surgery. I'm all for gettting as much information from all sources that I can including HUIF, ADTand cryosurgery. I ran acroos this resource and it provided information that is not widely shared.
