Hello, I am new to the site.I had my robotic surgery on may 13 2009.Had my cath removed on 5/22/09.Am I progessing at a normal time frame.At night I am dry ,during the day i driible.use about 2 pads per day.  my pca was as follows.Gleason score 3+3=6,psa 4.4,one core 5% at biopsys(out of 12cores).Gleason score remained the same after removal.only 1% of prostate contained cancer.Is this a normal amount to dribble during the day? will walking strenghen to pelvic floor muscles?

Everyone is different, but 2 pads two weeks post surgery is very good. I used 8 pads a day for 13 weeks, then it started to get better. Walking is generally good - but ask your doctor if you can walk yet. I have not heard that walking helped with pelvic floor muscles, though.

I agree that you seem to be ahead of what many report here, congratulations. Walking was strongly recommended as a pelvic floor strengthening exercise by the nurse that gave me post-operative instruction. And of course kegel, kegel, kegel.

Judging by the experience of others, control of the last bit of leakage -- the difference between pads and no pads can take some time. So just keep at it.

buckeye , hello my brother ... your way ahead of the game at this point,continence is a funny thing , the dry at night thing is a great sign, i too wore just a couple a day infact they werent even pads they wee womens pantiliners,MUCH MORE COMFY, , for me i was dry at 10 weeks , personally i never did  the kegals, doc said it didnt make much difference in a guy my age, good luck and keep in touch your DEFINATLY on the right track.................dirt  smilewinkgrin
