Just returned home (SC) from Cleveland Clinic having the AMS 800 implant procedure. My doctor told me I would be sore and I have been. I am anxiously awaiting the six weeks "healing" period to have this thing activated.

I have been reading the comments of many of you that have been through this phase and are satisfied with the results. I am exited about the prospects.

After going through 4 diapers and 8 pads in a 24 hour period since January, it is hard to imagine being dry again.

You most likely will be most pleased when the thing is activated. When mine was first activated, I went by the restroom in the doctor's office and yanked my pad out of my briefs. I didn't wear anything for a couple of week and stayed fairly dry, but the dampness got to me so now I wear one pantiliner per day to catch the little dribbles. It's so nice.

Wings, great to hear you are on your way. The wait will be worth it. There is a short learning curve to figure out how to work things and feel natural but in a few weeks it will seem like you have had the AUS forever. I also still use a light womens liner to catch drips and dribbles. But not a bad trade off from where I was.
