Recommendation for AMS surgeon

I am 2 yrs as of April past my RP surgery. I am still about 1 1/2 to 2 pads per day incontinent. I have decided to try the Ad Vance Male Sling Procedure. My problem is that my urologist only performs the In Vance procedure.

I am located in Southern California. I have been looking everywhere for a Doctor to perform this procedure. Dr. Eugene Rhee in San Diego, one of the utmost authorities in this field, is covered by Kaiser only. That is who my Dr. recommended, but he didn't realize he was Kaiser only. I tried to contact him with no luck. If you are not a member of Kaiser there is no contact. The Doctors that AMS recommended have not returned my calls after more than 3 attempts.

So My question is, is there anyone here from So. Cal that knows of a Dr. that performs this procedure?

All help well be greatly appreciated.

As a side note.: I finally quit drinking coffee and anything with caffeine and it has reduced my leakage by half. I did this so that I would have a leakage rate that would qualify me for this procedure. for those with incontinence issues, reducing your caffeine and Alcohol intake does help greatly.

  Hey DrMartin,  A bit confused about your post???? Is your leaking rate still 2 pads a day on the caffene restriction?  How much do you leak if you do drink a couple of cups of coffee and a couple of sodas or alcohol drinks a day?  My concern is that by restricting you caffene intake you may be masking your actual situation.  You may have the sling done then start back on the caffene and still have more leaking than you would think?  Just my opinion?  Be sure to inform any doctors you talk to about this.  Good luck with your search finding a Sling Doctor.
