Hi all..hubby doing better after his RR surgery on Feb, 17. Down to one pad a day.Well, today doctor gave him levitra. Was wondering if he can have a couples of beers before taking it. we're going to a function this evening, and wanted to know if this will make Levitra less potent. Will be happy to get any input from members.

Greetings, Snuggleup.  Sorry, I couldn't tell you about beer and Levitra since I am a teetotaler.  Levitra without the beer works great for me.  My thought is that a couple of beers wouldn't affect how the levitra works, but I just can't tell you from personal experience.  David

thanks David,, Forgot to mention this will be our first try,,We tried before but no erections whatsoever,, he did feel he had an orgasm, without the erection.. hope it works... thanks

sorry, teetotaler too and haven't used levitra, but good luck on your attempt later, hope it goes well for the both of you.

Viagra and beer work just fine. Just dont overdo it...

I like(d) my beer, too. I have stayed away from it when trying Levitra as it can make side effects like headache worse...and that's the most significant response I've had to Levitra. Actually, have pretty much stayed away from most alcohol since surgery. I think they used too many alcohol wipes on me in the hospital...the  smell of any beer, wine, alcohol is now sometimes awful (oh-oh, it's bbq season). As the effects of alcohol wear off, blood vessels become constricted...not what you want if you want the ladder to go up.

All in moderation I guess is the keyword.

I don't think beer makes any difference and the relaxation may make the "first time" easier to take since it was (at least to me) frightening. I always remember the words of Benjamin Franklin; "Beer is the evidence that God loves us and wants us to be happy." If Levitra with beer is a dud, you can always try without. So, go with what he wants and enjoy whatever happens. Most of all, love each other.

I haven't found that beer, wine or any alcohol makes much difference with the ED meds. Greasy foods seem to make more difference, such as french fries, lots of pasta, heavy foods and hamburgers. I know that Viagra actually warns against the greasy foods, indicating that nothing will happen.

And that has been my experience...
