It's been a while since I posted or even commented on a post. I have been enjoying my free time with family
and have become fascinated with Facebook. Don't laugh, the fastest growing demographic on Facebook is the over 35 crowd!
Anyway, yesterday I went to the KU Cancer Center to have updated CT and Bone scans.
My last CT was June of 2008 and previous bone scan was February of this year.
Today I received copies of the tests and the Radiologists report which indicated no
changes in either scan.
My 41 month battle is well documented at my blog so I won't at this time go into my treatment
and medical history. Briefly, I finished 12 rounds of chemo in late January 2009 that was part of the Atrasentan trial.
My results were mediocre and I am currently on somewhat of a break while we decide what to do next.
Though my PSA may seem rather high to some of you, and though I have mets in my rib, and extensively in my pelvic area
and am otherwise asymptomatic. I have virtually no pain, am on no pain meds (not even Advil etc.) and remain highly active working
out 3-4 times a week and playing disc (Frisbee) golf twice on most weekends.
On Monday I will have my monthly meeting with my Oncologist and my monthly Lupron shot. I have no reason to believe my PSA will not have risen again, I you know what, I'm OK with that for now. We will take the results of my scans and all of Monday's blood work and send them to MD Anderson to obtain their opinion as well.
This is about it for now.
Peace be with you all and thanks TC for reminder....
