Nine Month PSA in the morning

Tommorow, I take the 9 month post surgery psa that i requested after the last two showed an increase to .1 and .11.  I am going to ask to have results phoned to me so I don't have to wait a week or more.  Also, tommorow is the one week mark to the corrective surgery, so much fun ahead.

On topping of crashing my car, my 5 year old laptop died last night for good, when I was about to check in with you guys.  Think the display is fried.  On someone elses right now, and of course, being out of work, can't afford to buy another one.

When it rains, it pours.

Got a call today for a good close by job interview.  One hour later, the woman called back and said forget, they had just hired someone.  Love these kinds of days.

Good Luck tomorrow David...I know you will be on pins and needles until you get the results...might also request a copy of the lab report if possible. I had my uro's nurse misquote the readings.... a 0.6 isn't the same as a 0.06. She missed the second zero when speaking over the phone...now that will add a bit of anxiety to your day.

In the "small comfort" department, at least they thought you were worth calling.

In terms of "fried screen" it is not common and you might have a geeky friend who could look at it. Along the same lines, if it is the screen then you are almost certain to have a friend or neighbor who has an old CRT (TV type monitor) in their basement. (I have five because I work with a group that ships computers and stuff to Africa) In this case, the worst you would be out would be the cost of a connector cable (ask your geek friend about that too.) It cuts portability, but that does not deter the strong.

Hi David,

Good luck on your PSA. And good luck on your surgery. As always, I am pulling for you.

Due to some new things I'm doing at work, I just replaced a couple of laptops. I'd be more than happy if you'd accept one of the ones I replaced. Only a couple years old. I needed to upgrade certain aspects. I emailed you directly...I see your computer's down from your last post. Please consider it an even trade for all the support and kindness you have shown me.

Gee. you guys never cease to amaze me. I honestly have more friends in here than I do in real life, not counting family of course.

I will grin and bear these latest problems, as I always say, the alternative to giving up isn't too good in my book.

My son is bringing over a CRT to hook up to rule in or out a fried display. The laptop has been used continuously for those 5 years, a Toshiba, was expensive in its days.

The Allstate insurance adjuster paid up today for my car, right now I put it in the bank while I way out my options.

Thanks for lifting me up, once again, its a two way street here, trust me. I need you guys as much as you might need me.

David: I sincerely wish you the best on your PSA test. I am sending you all the brotherly love I can send your way with special prayers hoping for a goood report. As for the job, I know how disapointing it is and frustrating when we keep searching and it looks like it will never end. As with the PC we hear so often " Give it time"

I see I missed another season of "as the Prostate Turns". Sorry to hear about your car. At least you have Allstate--they refused to insure me, years ago, too big a risk.

David being in a different time zone to you I do not know the day of your test but when ever it is I hope the results are good and thanks again for your help

Got the blood drawn at 0900 today, only took the nurse 3 needles to get one tube of blood.
I asked, and they said they could give me the results anytime tommorow afternoon w/o the doctor being there. So there won't be any long wait for this one.

This time, don't know what to expect. As a guess, I say a rise from .11 to .13/.14. Hope I am wrong.

You probably mentioned this before but I forgot (senior moment)...where was the location of the margin and how large? Did you ever ask your surgeon, why he omitted this information during the surgery followup consultation?

Les, let me dig out the full pathology report and I will post it here for a group opinion. Its weird, first time I dont have psa anxiety, I will have this 9th month one result tommorow, not even bothered by it. So since surgery, had one at 3 months, 6 months, 7 1/2 months, and now 9 months.

thANKS BOB, BOB, DALE AND JEFF its weird, i am at peace with these upcoming results, don't know if i am slowly becoming pragmatic about the whole pc these, or just plain tired of worrying and fretting. either way, i am ok tonight. will post results here as soon as i know it.
