In the morning my wife and I head up to Vanderbilt University Hospital at Nashville, Tn. It seems that my date with the robot has finally arrived.

Tuesday afternoon will be spent with all the pre-admit stuff, then my actual surgery date with the Robot is Wednesday at 9am. Want to thank everyone on here for all the support that you give us newbies. My final question is should I take flowers or chocolates for the first date with the robot? I swear if R2D2 or C3PO show up in the surgery suite fo my date I'm out of there.

Larry, will be thinking of you tommorow as you undergo your surgery. Will look forward to knowing that you are safely on the other side, the recovery side. Hope your wife does well, the waiting room for surgeries is a hard place to spend hours worrying about a loved one. I hope the robot gets every last cancer cell from you on the first pass.

Robots especially love prostates. Just give him everything you have, and he'll be happy, and we'll be happy.

Honestly, the hardest thing is pooping afterward. The rest is a piece of cake !

Best wishes for a successful surgery and recovery.

I am celebrating 4 months post robot.  I didn't bring anything for the first date.  Maybe it worked out for the best.  I haven't given a single thought to another get together. 

If you haven't seen the post about shaving yourself before you go to the hospital, you may want to consider it.  It may make Wednesday morning a little less hectic.
