Today's Fortune Cookie

Ate Chinese food today for lunch and I rarely pay attention to fortune cookies.  Being alone, I opened and read it.  I thought it was so appropriate for all of us here at HW.

"Everyone around you is rooting for you.  Don't give up."

 

Decided to keep this one.  So I deditcate the spirit of the fortune cookie to all my brothers here; those awaiting dx, those newly dx, those awaiting their primary treatment, those awaiting salvage treatments, those advance brothers fighting the good fight, and to all our wives and the others in our lives that make this fight worth fighting.  May we all be cured, and may psa's of zero be in store for each and every person here.

Hi David, Keep that cookie! I didn't give much heed to them myself, until a chinese restaurant many years ago, with a secret wish for my (now) hubby to "like me" and sitting next to a friend who saw me open one which said, " Your dearest wish is about to come true". I still have that piece of paper from the cookie, on my mirror from 12 years ago now! And (the best bit..) I also married that "dearest wish" and now approaching our 10th wedding anniversay next year. Wishing you all the best, and hoping that the very rough path you have had lately is eased for you. Lana, you are still a newly wed coming on 10 years, lol. Pushing for 36 years on my end. I never eat fortune cookies, but I was eating alone and bored that day, so I took the time to open it. Just throught it was apropriate at the time. Sometimes if I feel like eveyrthing is stacked up against me, it does good to remember the blessings that one has in their lives.

Barry, now if David only had a fortune, he would be fortunate, lol. Being unemployed long term along with PC is no picnic, but I keep plugging away.
