Prostate Cancer Awareness Tee Shirts

HUGE DISCLAIMER. I MAKE SHIRTS AS A HOBBY FOR MYSELF AND FRIENDS. I HAVE NO WEBSITE, STORE, OR MAIL ORDER BUSINESS. I DO IT FOR THE FUN OF HAVING SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

That being said I am thinking about making some shirts for myself for the trip to Detroit, to wear while I am there, give some to the staff and wear when I get home.

I have a few ideas and I would like to welcome you to chime in and give me some ideas of something you wished you could find on a shirt.

The first batch will have the PC Blue Ribbon on the front with "Prostate Cancer Awareness"

The back will have different phrases, like;

"Hell Yes I am Aware I Have It!!

"1 in 6 men will have PC, 5 OF YOU GUYS are clear"

"Men are 33% more likely to get PC than women are to get Breast Cancer"

Some man dies every 17 minutes, every day from PC".

I saw one on another site I love, but don't think I should use it. You know legal stuff;

"Prostate Cancer Leaves Men with a Dry Sense of Humor"

I thought I would take some to the folks that work on me that says;

"My Job Is Fighting Prostate Cancer"

Come on guys, jump in here. I need other viewpoints. Humorous, Serious, Whatever. Let's have some fun. I'll make the shirts and if it's your's I'll figure out how to get one to you.

I need this diversion for the next few days. Surgery 1 week from today and I don't want to dwell on it anymore.

Greetings, Sonny.  I'm not a very creative kind of guy - my boss says we don't want the CFO to be very creative with the accounting .  I really like several of the slogans you came up with - the one that speaks to me is one in six will have PC, 5 of you guys are clear.  David

I'm not a bloke,  but what about one slogan specifically for the "girls"  (ie. wives, daughters, lovers, friends, mums) of men here? I was thinking of something like,  "Support prostate cancer research and save our men" as one for the ladies (and men of course!). Just an idea since you are playing around with ideas. I also like the 5 in 6 one too, and would certainly wear it too! All the best to you. What a great hobby. Good luck with it. Lana (with CJ).

Good morning all,

I just had a chance to catch up on the responses to the shirts ideas. You folks have come up with some great ideas and I'll try to use them all.

When I get a bunch of them printed, I will try to figure out a way to post them somewhere, like a blog or something, so you can see how they turned out.

Don't quit now though. Have some fun with this and keep the suggestions rolling in. I have a lot of fun with the shirts I wear and am not timid about wearing just about anything on them, unless it would border on the vulgar or offensive. We have enough of that stuff out there today and I don't need to add more. I am sure that you have all seen those shirts that made you stop and say "What are they Thinking".

BTW, this is working, had about an hour there where I wasn't thinking about my surgery in 6 days.

Joey, you are right about the PC. I only used the PC abbrev. for our discussions, I plan to spell it out on anything I print.

I wasn't really thinking about using the 33% shirt. I was just pointing out what I thought were some dramatic stats about PC.

Thanks for the input. Keep the creative juices flowing and we'll come up with a few more.

P.S. My wife has been chiming in too. She wants one that says something like "My husband has PC, BUT I got my cancer FIRST.

She is a fighter and proud advocate of awareness for Multiple Myeloma Cancer.

And the creative juices just keep flowing. Thanks guys for the new additions.

By the time I print them all I won't have to wear any ole plain fishing, baseball or sports shirts again. I'll end up being a walking billboard for PCa awareness full time. Maybe that's the plan God has for me coming out of this thing. There's always a plan and this may be my newfound niche in the world.

4 day count down to surgery on Thursday. Ready to go, let's "Git R Done".

Great ideas!!! Really thought provoking, and would open up conversations as well. If I am going to be an advocate I have to get the people talking. Thanks for the insight and different take on the shirts. Good ideas all.
