I posted early about my experience. I'm 47, and during a routine exam The doc found a nodule on the DRE. He ordered a PSA. The PSA jumped from 0.9 to 2.1, but had around 67% free PSA. The PSA test was done ~30min after the DRE, and may have been the culprit for the rise.
A biopsy was done because of the nodule almost two weeks ago.
The doctor called today, and they found no cancer in the 13 cores taken. The first core being targeted on the nodule.
I appreciate greatly this forum and everyone here. The support, advice, and camaraderie here is fantastic and it helped me cope while waiting for the biopsy and results. I don't plan on disappearing. Since I'm going to be monitored by the doc, I'm going to lurk in the background and try and help out where I can.
