SRT 27 of 39 - Tuesday

Tuesday's treatment wasnt as bad as yesterdays, in and out in about 30 minutes.  Least I was able to lift off the table by myself  today.  If you like my fractions, I am not exactly 9/13th complete.  Twelve more treatments to go, can't wait till its single digits.

Uro called today, for the first time in my 57 years, I have some kind of UTI, he said not uncommon for those on long term catheters like me.  So picking up antibotitic later to start working on that problem.  He said that might explain some of the severe pain Ive been having lately with the spasms.

Back home resting, whats left of the tropical storm is pushing through here, with lots of wind, rain, and cool temps.  Real doom and gloom looking outside.

Had enough for one day, glad to be home.

Ohio, "If you don't care about suffering, ok?" What an odd remark to make to a guy that has been fighting pain and complications for almost a year now. Not sure where you are coming from.

I think Ohio was just stating his concern for David.

David, you've had enough for a lifetime but I think you are going to enjoy a great life after this is over.

Ohio had good advice about the blood workup just to make sure your immune system is still up to the task, esp. with the urinary infection.

It would seem that your are having some nasty weather there as a result of that tropical storm.  Hopefully it will pass by soon.

Glad to hear that todays session went better. The time until your last treatment seems to be flying by as I see it and I hope to convey that feeling to you. It won't be long now and we can celebrate the end of it all.  I hope the antibiotic helps and that you feel better to get through the remaining treatments.

I can't question your heart or your motives, ohio. Not my place. I am very compliant with my medical team, and I communicate openly and at depth with all the players. We talk in great detail about a lot of issues. My thought with your post(s) isnt questioning whether you care or not care, just didnt get the line of questioning or what is was you think I should be doing or not doing.

Thank you Bob, wish I could say it gets easier the closer you get to the end, but in reality, it gets harder. Resting up, trying to convince myself to go back tommorow, seems to be a daily fight in my head at this point.

Sonny, being short after a grueling 14 week boot camp was one of life's nicer feelings for sure, understand boot camp is much shorter now and not so barbaric as in our days. Being short getting out of the service, I told you my Philly story before about that.

I do remember after I finished the 35 treatments in the neck/throat from 10 years back, when it was finally over, no one there said congrats or even good bye. Simply got up and drove away. To me at the time, it was a big achievment, so in the end, it was somewhat of a let down.

Least at this clinic, I will get a fancy certificate with a gold seal on it. lol. And I can keep my leg cast if I want it, but heck, who in their right mind would want to reminded of it.

I keep thinking of your current situation. It is so very soon after your surgery. And I thought my re-occurance was quick. When I first went through surgery, in the back of my mind, I was expecting the PC to return, but I was thinking in terms of 3-5 years based on my numbers, sure didn't expect to have it confirmed in a matter of months. But like you said, these are the cards we were dealt, and we have to play our hand to the best of our abilities.

You been there each step of my new path, and I will be there for you. I only hope that your RT or SRT will go down the "normal" path for you, and that you aren't an ultra sensitive type like I am to radiation. I still want to stress to any of our friends here, particular the new guys/girls, that my current complications are in the extreme low percentile group. I don't mind being the example of handling things when they go wrong, but there are plenty of good men here that breeze right through radiation as if it were nothing. I am deeply hoping you are in that larger precentile of me where that will be the case.

PC can be a vicious SOB, and will do as it please, so lets fight on together, my Florida brother, and see if we can slam dunk it for you.

I'm glad that you are getting closer to the end. I can't imagine what you are going thru. I can paray for your complete recovery but not for a better weather. I'm in Sydney Australia and the weather is sunny and temperature in mid tto upper 70s.
