One for the "Suggestion Box"

Just a thought, what if we had somehow,  a proforma type signature, that is part of the control panel, that guys simply answer the requested information, so as to produce a signature of a STANDARD FORMAT, so as we can all understand it, and guys dont miss out entering IMPORTANT information, that can only assist others to help them.

I realize we are all different as to the treament we choose, but surely there must be some basic info ie Age,Gleason,Pre PSA,Grade etc, that would assist new members joining us here.

I often see a new member sign on not knowing about signatures and how to establish one, so this idea may be alot simpler for them, and save our more established members from continually having to request this info. 

I am not suggesting this information be mandatory, a new member and all members for that matter, only need fill in, what they are comfortable with, or simply leave it blank.

Perhaps one of the Moderators could suggest it, to whom ever constructs this web site, as a future idea.  What do you guys think !

I think its a great idea in many ways, but I also like the individual touch to our own signatures. As long as everyone sticks to the 10 line limit I believe it is, the moderators stay happy. My personal vote would be to keep it the same.

Having been here a few years now, I can say that what we have is kinda what you are saying. But we really have a lot of different stories to tell so they will always be unique. For example, one persons story about surgery may differ heavily from another. For David, Purgatory, there is an important story about surgical hardships, for me surgical hardship is only a smaller part of my story after failed surgery.

I had reduced my signature to two lines about surgery, with the adjuvant therapies, and progress taking the next few lines. I have since removed it and will use my blog to tell the bigger picture in the future. It's an option for me as I expect to be telling more in the future...
