I was really saddened to read of your loss. It always strikes each and everyone of us to the core to lose someone we love deeply. But those that we have been parted from are never far away for they will always live in the hearts and minds of those they loved, and who in turn, loved them. Please accept my deepest condolences at this sad time.

Amy I never got the chance to talk to you or your husband.as I sit here and read your post all I can do is sit and cry. This hits so close to home this is the first time I have cried since I found out I had cancer.I am so sorry for your loss but that poem will stick with me for ever.Thank you for sharing it with us

Amy, this is so unfair, so awful. Along with the others here I grieve with you and for you, and for Robert. You have been cheated out of years with him. He has been cheated out of years with you.

In the city where I live we have a large Jewish community and in recent years I've had the experience of attending services at the synagogue for parents of friends, and several friends as well. The Rabbi there speaks of the soul returning and being bound up with God. Bound up with God. It's an image I like and one which has brought me comfort when members of my family have died. I hope the thought of Robert's soul being bound up with God might be helpful to you too.

Your story hits really close to home. I too, live in Seattle and reading your post broke my heart. It was very easy to picture what an incredibly beautiful and touching tribute you had for your husband. After such an incredibly tragic week, I feel especially close to the Seattle area and all those who make Seattle the beautiful place it is, that includes our police officers, fire fighters, troops, mariners and every other hard working family. Although I did not know your husband, I feel his loss and hope that our incredible city will embrace you and provide you with comfort during this difficult time. Wishing you strength and peace.

Dear Amy, I am so sorry for your loss, your poem was wonderful, and having been involved with the Sea Rescue for many years, the mental image of the ferry tribute to your man brought tears to my eyes.

Dear Amy,I am very sorry forthe loss of your husban and one of our brother.I lost my father to liver cancer last  June.

I will pray for you and your family that GOD give you and your family peace in this hard time of tour life.
