Good post. Sometimes reaching into the past can produces results that were missed before. I hope with all my being, that even 5 - 10 years from now time frame, something or some method will be found to greatly help the next generation of PC guys.

Thanks, Tony, for the post. Persuant to your comment, David: after all my consultations prior to pulling the trigger on Robotic Prostatectomy, the prostate cancer oncologist I spoke to counseled me on not worrying about % of recurrences after RP versus brachytherapy, versus proton beam, etc. Rather he validated the process by which I arrived at my decsion, and said that if it didn't come back on me right away, that by the time it did (if it did), the playing field for treatment options would

would look different than it does today because of all the research and clinical trials. To worry and try to factor possibilities would be a statistical game of apples and oranges. So let's hope he's right for all of us who've been diagnosed and treated, as well as those who have yet to turn down this road.

Hi TC, how's the weather over there? (LOL!! - we are swimming here!).. sorry bad joke!

On a serious note, this is always on my mind. My stepson (husband's adult son) is now 32. We are both (secretly) relieved that he is well into starting his family at the moment (he and his wife have a 4 year old and 9 month old) - both girls, so no need to worry about them! He (the 32 year old) has already had a baseline done as his father (my CJ) got Pca at 49, but on examination of the previous PSA's it was too high at 45 years and should have been more closely monitored then.
Our other concern is our own son (now 9 years). He was 6 when his dad (also CJ!) got Pca. He is still into childhood things, but he knows what prostate cancer is. It has touched his life too. I will be always researching the topic for him as well as CJ therefore.
So any news of progress towards a prevention, or a vaccine, or any cure, is always music to our ears! This is a small study but sounds very promising. They really should go for the jugular and publish widely, as if the results are valid they could always extend it with funding, and someone else may take up the task and replicate etc...in other settings.
