Will be starting Oncology Rehab after all

I have re-thought the idea of going through the Oncology Rehab Program at my local hospital, and have an apppointment next Monday afternoon to go and have an accessment for the program.  It is suppose to last 10 weeks in the first phase, they do have a second 10 phase II, but rather not think about that.

THey already know I am still with catheter, and said they could  start me out with upper body re-hab until I can be cath free, and then work on the lower half.  THey realize I will have some physical limitation in my current condition.

I need to do this to help myself get back into some kind of decent shape.  Been out of the health loop for over a year now with all these aggervating setbacks and such.

Ten years ago, post radiation, I went through nearly a year of re-hab with a different hospital, at the time, it really helped give my life back to some useful function again.

Will keep all posted about this program.

Buddy, Last post I read on this is the the cost was going to keep you out. Has something been worked out there as well? What exactly do they do in oncology rehab? I have never heard of this. I guess I am just full of questions today. Are you feeling in better today?

Sephie ,exactly, it is physical rehab, some dietary help, to help offset radiation treatments and the fatigue that comes with it.

Jeff, lots of women go through this same program with breast cancer treatments. When I went years ago, it was probably 80% woman, got real use to seeing bald headed women. Met some wonderful people. Yes, right now money issue is ok for the program.

I was feeling somewhat better this morning, but like a fool, pushed myself too much and now sore as hades, lot of blood in the bag, was on my feet too much. I just cant lay around and do nothing.
