I think I'm getting dry!!!!!

After almost three months since the catheter was removed, I only had to use 2 pads yesterday and I seem to be able to go from sitting to standing and moving around with little to no leakage.  I am so excited!  I hope this is getting near to the end of my incontinence.  Just a few days ago I was complaining about using 6-8 pads a day and it seems overnight it is getting better.  I hope it continues to improve.  My question is, iis this the way it happens? One day you are leaking and the next day is is almost stopped?

I hope I didn't jinks myself by shouting to the world but WOW what a Christmas gift.

Len that is both great and encouraging news to hear on the incontinence front.

Based on some of the stories here, yes, it can work that way, you reach a point of using lots of pads, thinking you aren't getting anywhere, and then just like that, you reach some platau of improvement and start drying rapdidly. Hope that continues for you like this, that will give you a good reason to celebrate the new year shortly ahead of us.

Hey Len,

I am acquainted with your problem and I can't tell you how pleased I am that you made some great progress! Maybe the same thing is going to happen to me too! A week or so ago a member here told me that at about three months he also went dry almost overnight. So it can and does happen. Keep me informed of your progress, some inspiriation alway helps. From what I have gathered progress can be two steps forward and one back, so don't let a slip bother you if it happens. You are almost there.

Hey Len -  try what I tried. (and it worked)

Since tomorrow is a Saturday - don't wear a pad..."Think" yourself dry. You just have to concentrate and "hold it in/back" and maybe won't leak at all.

The no pad at home helped me too. I gets you focused on control (and maybe some extra kegels) I had a couple of times that I had to change pants but fewer than I expected.

Congratulations Len. Good Luck with your experiment.

My pad free experiences are not ever pleasant.
Unless I am holding a towel in front or underneath me, I leave a trail of drips not unlike Hansel and Gretel. If I ever got lost in the snow covered woods this ability might come in handy.

This incontinence stuff does seem to be a stair step process. However, don't be surprised if you take a step back for a short while, and then go up 2 steps.

Maybe those kegals are working after all.

I am down to virtually no pads, so when I get home at night, I go bare back, and on weekends, I do as well. Still a little squirt here and there, but overall, I am 98 % there.

Well guys, the day after my announcement I discovered that I wasn't that dry after all. There has been an improvement. I am down to 3 pads during the day from 6-8 pads. and at night only one pad that is really pretty dry. I am getting there but not ready to go pad free. I guess its one step forward and one backward.
I'll keep you posted.
