Hi,
I'm 6 weeks post cath and still have quite a bit of penis pain.
Anyone else?

When is it painful, erect, limp, walking, peeing, during intercourse ?

I did have some peeing pain at first (3 sets of antibiotics)

It's a general ache, worse in the morning and eases after about an hour, but been aware of it for most of today.

Good ol mother nature wipes out many memories of pain...but as I recall - this is normal.

I had my cath in for five weeks so anything was better then that.

Mike, I had open surgery, and had on again off again penile and testicle pains for 2-3 months after surgery. My dr. said they would fade over time, and for the most part, they did. Good luck there.

Mike, it might not make you hurt less at the moment, and pain there can always be a bit scary, but its more normal than not. You can always check back with your doctor to double check, or if, and hoping not, the pain were to increase over time. Always need to remind yourself, whether it be robotic or open, you just went through a major complex surgery, and there's a log of handiwork inside you healing at different paces and schedules.
