Thought i would add this to the wierd stuff you never know about
and see if anyone else had this. Hospital staff said in all there procedures they hadnt seen this. Started filling jp drain at the rate of every 10 minutes full. Really feeling bad and wife said looked very bad and i could sense she was scared and she is in the medical field and has seen alot. Couldnt keep my eyes
open, Eventually they found something that they could put in my iv to stop the bleeding without having to go back in. Thank you God! Lost 2 pints. Doc said he believes when they aired me up a vessel stretched and tore and did not bleed until the pressure was released. Said the surgery was perfectly normal just a very wierd deal. Another *** kind of deal. Tim

Maybe they could have put a valve where your drain was. You could have been a self serve donor at he Red Cross.
Glad they stopped it !
Good luck on your recovery.

Tim - glad you are better now - sorry to hear it wasn't clear sailing -
please be careful in that region - whatever got patched up is probably still weak - so good time to remind your support team that you may need extra help a little longer for safety sake - regarding bending and stretching ... just being cautious - ie. no lifting anything more than 10# for the first 6 weeks....
I have a very bad short term memory when it comes to surgery and what I am not supposed to do - amazingly enough I behaved this time !
gentle hugs
