what time to take ed drugs?

Hey folks, supposed to start taking 5mg cialis daily for therapy now and was wondering if it matters what time of day to take it. Full stomach or not matter? I have read all the side effects and thought maybe a certain time of day might help minimize? Any thoughts? Thanks Tim

Cialis (Lilly) web site says that it can be taken with or without meals. If you get a headache (common side effect), then next time try proactively taking a couple of ibuprofin either before or with the Cialis.

My uro had me on 25 mg viagra for 3 months taken right before bedtime.  Hope things are going well for you,

I guess most takes it just before bedtime, but I have always taken mine about 3am, on one of my pee runs, when my stomach is empty and I can sleep thru the side effects, while hopefully taking advantage of the brains urging for nocturnal erections being provided with the drug.. rolleyes

The Lily site says with or without food and anytime works.  I take mine, 10 mg, in the afternoon on an empty stomach.  I get a headache everytime I take it, no matter what I have in my stomach or whatever time I take it!  Neither Tylenol nor iboprophen cuts the headache.  I stopped taking it because of this but my doc said to continue to take it because it keeps the blood vessels soft.  With or without it, it does not seems to make a difference with the erections but if it helps the blood vessels from hardening up I'll deal with the headaches.  My insurance covers it with my $25 copay; 6 20mg pills which I cut in half!  Hope this helps, good luck.

If you are taking Cialis BEFORE surgery it is meant to make sure you have successful intercourse, so the nerves are in peak condition to handle the surgery. The time to take it would be 1 hr prior to intercourse

AFTER Surgery is a different matter

I take Levitra on an empty stomach since it works best for me then. Usually about 1.5 to 2 hours before sex. Get a bad headache even with taking ibuprofin along with and the stuffy nose but It beats not having an erection.

This is for post surgery, just didnt want to take it before bed and then stay up with a headache. Thanks

Not sure 5 mg is going to do it for you, Post-Op, it was way to small of a dose for me. The Dr told me it would be more effective to take 2 x 5mg pills every other day. That would provide a bigger blood flow boost

As each of the 3 ED drugs works better or worse on each patient, they had me rotate the ones I took, this way I was assured of getting the best possible effect. (3 days on Cialis, 2 on Viagra, 2 on Levitra) At that time nothing created an erection so it was hard t tell one from the other ( Cialis did cause back pain though)

When it come time to try intercourse you would need the full 20mg dose one hr prior
