First of all, thank you for your always good support (to me and everyone else on this board).

I'm thinking of you and hoping that surgery works for you tomorrow. I also appreciate your keeping us informed every step of the way. That's what makes this a family/community/support group.

There is only one possible snag in the making. It's possible as I speak, that surgery may have to rescheduled, a rare snow event for here is suppose to start late tonight and turn ugly tommorow. Since this is not an emergency situation, it can be rescheduled, but thats just one more aggervating thing to deal with. My surgeon only operates 2 days a week at that hospital, and he usually stays booked. I will be waiting to see if the hospital calls later, because we have to report there at 0800.

A full week after the failed sedated dialation attempt in his office, and I am still very sore. It's one of those things, that the first couple of days after, you think, that's not too bad, I can handle this pain, but as before, it gets worse 3-5 days out. I spent all of Sunday in moderate pain coming from what I assume is my bladder neck area. Never could get comfortable the entire day. When I was on straight Advil, didn't cut it a bit, in the evening ,when I took my prescription pain med, barely made a dent. Just want this mess to be over with

Hay David they are still calling for snow 1 to4 0r 5 inches form I 85 line north from bigA to Greenville but you know how they miss the weather down here in the south maybe it will just rain and you can make your appointment and if you do i pray everything goes great and you won't ave any more problems where that is concern

Dave, hope all goes well. Unfortunately I seem to be following in your footsteps. Stricture was opened a couple of weeks ago during scope. Started losing my stream again. Went in today and was basically closed. Had the dilation to get it open and a cath put in. I know what you mean about the pain after the dilation. The only sedation I had was Lidocaine gel in the urethra. I am now scheduled for surgery next Thursday, March 11. Doctor said it takes one or more surgeries to correct. Told him I was aware of that (following your trials). My hospital is like yours - have to go thru the whole pre-op crap for an outpatient surgery. Offered general or spinal anesthesia. I chose general since it doesn't seem to bother me. I'm hoping to see you get the problem solved this time so that i might feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel for me. I always thought it was a benefit to heal quickly. I guess with scar tissue it is not so nice. Again, good luck and I hope this time is the one that works.

squid, so sorry you are wandering on my path, not to be selfish, but rather not share the misery of stricture trouble with any of you men, bad enough this is my life these days. your account is very similar to mine, this will be my 5th surgery to correct, plus one emergency dialation when it was fully close (Last July), and one aborted dialation a week ago. no fun, hope this one for you gets it for good. sorry you are having to go through this too.

Will be thinking of you tomorrow and if we get snow here in NE Georgia you will likely get some. I would loan you my snow plow if I had one. But I know you are ready to get this behind you and hopefully all systems will be on go in the morning. Keep us posted my friend.
