Two hours later I find I got worked up for no reason at all. Nothing Absolutely nothing has changed since my last scan 14 months ago. I cried for an hour. The nurse told me there were changes. She told me the doc had to look at it and then she would call.  Dont they realize what an hour can do to us when they tell us there are changes. Dont they realize that change means your cancer is spreading. They think they are so much smarter than us and that we would not be able to understand thier reports.  Finally I called up and had her read me the report. NO CHANGES!!!!! The Doc called me on my way home from work and told me the good news again just so there would be no misunderstandings. I am thankful. It was scary. I am not ready to die. I am not even ready to be sick. I am so blessed. Ya'll have trouble wetting your pants or have to have catheters. I have a prostate. After coming back from 1 foot in the grave, the only thing I lack is a libido. My plumbing works, my dinky dont leak I have erections and now I am getting a break from hormones. They say I wil die before I reach 50. They said I would die 3 years ago. They were wrong then and they will continue to get proven wrong. GOD is on the throne people. That is for you too zufus.. I am sorry for ranting but I lost faith today. Pray it does not happen again. Todd

Thanks for sharing your emotions Todd, most people do not understand the feelings that go into these situations. Your faith is still there my friend I am confident of that.

I did David, Thank you. I am still teary eyed. God has blessed my life in so many ways. For perhaps the first time in my life I am truly happy. Thank you for being one of those blessings. I hope we meet some time Perhaps when I go to see my son at the navy nuclear training center just out of charlotte. Todd

Todd, my dear brother:

You would be most welcomed if you passed near here. I live less than 1 1/2 hours from Charlotte, right off of I-85, if you needed a place to crash you are welcome to do that too.

Still a shame that you had be to put through that severe emotional roller coaster, but the end results is what it is all about.

Todd, nobody understands our own personal feelings. We here are all going through the same thing yet we all have different feelings. But I'm am really glad that your scans did not change.

Oh my gosh...I really feel for you. What a roller coaster! Very glad that you got the flip-flopped answer, which was the miracle you were hoping for during that hour of great concern.

Thank you all so much. I came home and built some fence and took a great deal of frustration out with a 24oz framing hammer. I feel good and I must say I look even better. lol ya'll can see me on facebook. Todd Seals Silverlake wa. What a day. I think tonight I am going to have some sex. OOPS Married!!! I think tonight I am going to make love with my wonderful wife.

Good venting bro~ and hammertime with the wife and using your ball-peene extremity hammer might be worth doing some nailing (LOL). Hey if PCa doesn't test your faith often, then somebody must have a hardend heart, I recently have had a challenge or two and it is not good to be in that mindset. We don't walk by sight...we walk by faith...you probably know the rest of the teachings/parables and don't want the mod-squad putting a contract out on me, so no proselitzing zone is in effect.
Happy you don't have changes, in the scans, that is a big thing. Carry on!!!

thanks zufus, I had a much better weekend and I am feeling much relaxed. I did my best to swing the ball peen with muchh viggor (sp?) and I slept like a big ol baby. Thank you for all your repiies everyone. Todd

Sorry you had to go thru all of that. During this year long process I have found some real professionals and some that should not be in the medical field, or for that matter anywhere close to it. I was thinking the other day that when I had to have my cath out they put you thru a screen first, and the Nurse had me lay on a table and then told me to disconnect my cath. That meant I had to do a sit up and I was already hurting from an anesthia error during surgery. I couldnt find the strength to disconnect and asked her if I could go get my wife to help me. She told me no. Eventually I was able to remove it. I am afraid if I ever saw her again I would unload on her. I now speak my mind, although polite but firm and if they are not good at what they do I will not hesitate in asking for someone else.

Anyway, I am happy the results are positive and you have some peace of mind. May you be blessed with many more years of joy.

Thank you Michael. You are so right about persons that should not be in the Medical proffession. I was so angry and relieved at the same time. The worst part of it was the condesending tone she used to make it sound like my worries were all my fault.

My uro/surgeon's nurse was cold and uncaring only one time with me. I told the dr. about it, and he must of have words with her, and she's been sweet as an angel since then. I won't tolerated being treated that way. My wife is a nurse. There are caring nurses, and then there are nurses that are there for the money, makes a big difference in attitude.

My ex wife is the head night nurse in the oncology ward at a local hospital. If I am ever that sick I am not to be taken there. She is one who is in it only for the money. She also doesnt like me much and wishes I would die. I plan on staying alive just to pee her off. lol

todd, that doesnt sound like a good situation. my wife is in the all heart category, she works with the elderly and in a major re-hab wing. She gets paid well, but she's all about patient care and patient rights.

gee, I don't think I want your ex wife to treat me either, lol.

My current wife, the love of my life, is also a nurse however she became a nurse as her heart is filled with compassion for others.

Only we understand what we go through every time we have a PSA test. I'm glad that you are sharing your emotions with us. It makes us feel normal. I'm happy for your good news. God has a plan for us all. God Bless you brother.

Thanks Todd. :) I am good. I have a newborn and a two year old, so I have had my hands especially full lately. I'm not complaining though. My dad finished his two year cycle of HT and is enjoying his HT vacay. Just praying his PSA stays undetectable. I am so truly happy that your scans came back the way they did. Keep on keepin on!!
