I wanted to share my good news with everyone. I was diagnosed by biopsy with PCa in July 2007 at the age of 49. Had Robotic Surgery in Jan 2008 with 3 + 4 gleason. Had problems with scarring/strictures in the bladder neck and urinary retention that led to 4-5 additional cystoscopies and S/P cath x 2. Surgery in August, 2008 the day after my 51st birthday that finally fixed my scarring problem. I am two years and 3 months since initial surgery, just had PSA drawn prior to my visit with the specialist who fixed scarring. PSA is ZERO - 0 YEAH!!! and I am still peeing! To quote the Greatful Dead - "What a strange trip it's been" Kbars

Thanks, Cajun Jeff for the Kudos! I was in New Orleans during Super Bowl weekend, what a blast have some friends in Waveland, MS that want me and the wife to come down and go to the horse races this winter. I forgot to mention I had both nerves spared but not much happening in the ED dept. Have tried all three meds with no luck and have been using a VED. When I am at the docs next week I will be pushing for the shots.

Kbars...congratulations! I know the feeling as my husband just had his two year PSA come back at 0.0. It's a wonderful feeling.
