It turns it was not were he sewed me back together. It was at the tip of the penis and he said it was a reaction from the latex catherter, I guess I'm alergic to latex cath's. When he started he could not even get the scope to go in. He started with what looked like bamboo sticks with the smallest about the size of pencil lead and worked his way up to I think he called an 18. Gave me a self cathing tube to insert twice a day, to keep it open. And yes it curled my toes when he first started. Thanks guys for your input.

NEAL - it may be upsetting still but a little less stress now that you know what was going on
... those stick are called "sounds" ... and used to stretch the urethra and check out the passage way .

.. some guys use them for kinky stuff ( those with prostates) and do the dr.thumb and the four assistants routine - and when all is said and done - the sound shoots across the room...

.. please keep the cath tube clean and follow proper hygiene routine... it is so easy for a bug to slip inside the urethra ( let alone an allergic reaction) - I am probably preaching to the converted, but better safe than sorry ...

I guess if you are latex allergic or sensitive, makes perfect sense. I asked once, and was told all my caths are non-latex, just one more thing to have to think about if you are allergic. How long are you suppose to self cath? How many days? Perhaps until the swelling goes down the reaction? I know PluggedUp had to self cath, but he was doing it 5-10 times a day, until he had a surgical fix.

Hope this works for you, if so, it should be a one time fix. Good luck

Neal,  I'm glad things went well for you.  In the for what it's worth department, the numbering system for the sounds refers to the circumference.  In your case a No. 18 means 18 mm circ. or just under 6 mm dia.  I hope it works for the long haul.

Thanks guys. Yes always keep things clean. Now that I think about it he didn't say for how long to self cath. I have an appt. on Monday anyway, first psa fingers crossed. I hope this takes care of it, for me it was very uncomfortable.
