#22 done. Am starting to have some more rectal discomfort (not exactly pain), beyond the 'roids, maybe some rest over the weekend will help.

(evening update)
Urinary state seems to be deteriorating a bit - not leaking more, but frequency sure jumped today.

(Saturday update)
First overnight incident in a long time - those "unneeded" night pads saved the bedding for another day. Just woke up wet, nothing else to say about that.

#23 done yesterday, but wiped out without doing my update. There were some computer issues, so things got shuffled into the afternoon. Now I understand Alf's kind of schedule.
Urinary urgency & frequency are back - have to go, but not much there.

#24 today - went to sleep sitting in the waiting room, so fatigue is closing in.
All the rest the same.

142, you bring back such fond memories of my SRT (not really, lol), that's still 2 dozen behind you, after next week's treatments, you will be really starting to get short. Dont fight the fatigue, let your body rest what it needs most of all right now. I think you are doing great.

I'm just a couple of steps behind you 142. just had #21

Urgency and frequency definitely present now for me too, though not all day every day.
I'm going as often as every 30 minutes. So it's now impossible to go for an hour before RT without peeing, but the nurses now come out to the waiting room to see how I am fixed before I'm due, and fit me in when things are at the optimum level. And luckily being completely horizontal during RT stops gravity adding to the pressure, but I sure have to rush to the WC when I'm done, and I'm glad that I am still peeing a decent quantity after RT has finished as I wouldn't want the consequence to be that it was getting done on an empty bladder.

The really annoying thing is that I've had to start wearing pads again, my first pads since September. This is due to having dribbled a couple of times enough that it made a damp patch on my pants (trousers)

Also had a small flood immediately after a nighttime WC visit when the muscles had not closed things properly.

At least I'll have something to talk to the doc about at my next appointment.

My train journey is still okay too, but I need to pee twice now just to feel safe.

And strangely while I know I am tired it does not feel like the tiredness has got any worse. Bowels also not got any worse

Hey I'm nearly 2/3 of the way through this. And I'll even try and enjoy my 26th Wedding Anniversary next week too

#25 done today. Had my weekly visit, and mentioned the frequency, but seems to be the norm.
Dozed off in the waiting room again today, and was close to it on the table, but then I thought that's not a bed to want to roll off of!

Regal - I had to stop coffee completely once my sessions started, except for a cup Saturday and Sunday mornings. That was my urgency issue the first couple of weeks. Now I have the real thing, but the timing is "normal".
Carbonation in any liquid is also a killer for me.

Alf, my best wishes to you and the wife for the anniversary.

Done 13th. today. No problems at all YET, but my incontenence level at the start of radiation is still the same but the doc now says it will be like that forever.

Sure hope I can prove him wrong!

jerry: that is usually the case, but its not a set in stone rule, perhaps you will be the exception

It is like the snow day in school when I was a kid - pity they take it back on a beautiful day in June. There is a big bruha here - the a/c was out in a school after someone stole the copper pipe! Unhealthy for the kids!

I never had a/c in school, and at home it was a swamp fan, maybe that's why we have PCa?

142 you just do what you have to do. think about you guys who deal with the rad. my friend will be starting his soon. you will come out great just deal with the problems like a man looking to beat this thing will naturaly do. your friend neil

#28 done. Had a bit of bleeding and a slight increase in urinary issues over the weekend, but still not anything that raises concern. I'm still dead-tired before I get good out of bed. Looking forward to the number remaining going to a single digit this week!

#29 done. Some intestinal upset that I had not really blamed on radiation has become a daily constant, so now I will.
10 left - almost single digits!

Sounds a lot like I went through with the bowel issues. At first I wasn't sure it was from the radiation, but eventually it clearly was.
In the end (ha!) everything was okay. All the irritation faded away.

Hey. Wow yes, the finishing line is almost in sight with it down to single figures to go. (I've 8 left of 33)
Are you bowels still regular? Mine are disrupted, but at least they still tell me it's time just after breakfast.
The actual business is now a mixture. the whole thing used to take between 30 seconds and a minute, now it's split into two halves, the first half takes five seconds to come out the second half takes 5 minutes. I have to take a book with me.
Session 26 yesterday was a bit different. All looked well from the waiting room then someone came out to say that therte had beena major computer crash with the entire department's system. (Even the screen of the monitor in the waiting room was saying: "The page you want is not available try refreshing..." etc)
They said they had no idea how long it would take buit suggested that me and another PCa guy went and had a pee and then had another drink rather than try and hold on.
Lot's of folk in white coats rushed up and down the corridors for about twenty minutes, then it was all okay again.
I was not certain how my bladder was (I started on Flomax a couple of days ago to calm the urgency and frequency issue and it seems to be starting to make a difference) Anyway all I notice is that although my baldder feels different each time I still manage to have a good pee immediately after elaving the changing room.

Yesterday's problem was hard luck for those few who were actually on the RT table when it went down; they had to lie there waiting for ages, then get off and then go back later and resume where they left off.
BUT even so this was all a hell of a lot better than the computer system going down during a Da Vinci I guess!

#30 is done. We are into the single digits remaining!!
Alf - my intestinal issues have been a bout of loose bowels, usually in the range of 16:00-20:00 every day for the last week or so. If I take Immodium, it stops it, but then the next morning is not good, so I am in "tolerate it" mode unless it gets worse.
Morning - about the same as it has always been, looser, perhaps.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Now the only question, Is it a train?

Finally broke down and took the immodium, but that was an error, as everything is just a bit too solid today.
Everything else is the same - continence = urgency, go too often, pass little.
Not quite two weeks to go -

#32 done, 7 left. Same stuff - had a rough weekend of bowel issues - immodium treats one problem, causes another. And the 'roids are angry. And the pad count is back up by one a day.
Slept almost all day Saturday and Sunday.

#33 done, 6 left. Hit the fatigue "wall" at 2pm yesterday. The bowel issues are increasing, so I guess I have fallen over the "real" side-effects cliff.
