The last week is started - # 37 done. Had to work all day, have about fallen flat on my face a couple of times.
Urgency is really ugly today - back to multiple pads, but the bowels are not so restless as yesterday, so net net, I guess there is hope.

#38 is done - one remains. Another two pad day, and a long one, so no late night tv for me. The rest remains the same.

You'll want to celebrate, but take it easy. I had half a glass of fine Dutch beer as you know and was glad I had no more.

I'm very glad to be back on normal diet and tiredness, bladder and bowels haven't got any worse after RT finished. If I do things slowly I seem to be able to do more, but when I'm walking or cycling along the street slowly I think that people who see me must think something's the matter with me. Oh wait a minute: something is the matter with me, so that's okay I suppose.

I find reading a book late at night in bed is better than TV. Makes me sleepy, but have to remember to put down book and remove reading glasses.

Radiate a smile now.

Last day! All done for this round, hopefully the last.
If I'll be glowing, it should be now. cool

The doctor suggested that things will probably stay much the same for two weeks or so, then begin to improve.

My urologist drew blood for a PSA yesterday (my 3-month interval visit), so should have some result, perhaps by Friday. The oncologist will see me again in six weeks unless there is some urgency before that.

Paid out the last of the bills on the deductible / co-pays, so now I can save my coins for Cialis shakehead

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Sure feels good to get up from the table and walk away for good. Hope you recovery well from the radiation, and that it does its job of killing any stray PC cells.

I just wanted to thank you, 142, and the rest that shared in this thread -- for someone who will be going through this soon, it gave me a better idea of what to expect. It must feel really good being finished. Congrats!

I imagine I won't feel like it is done for a few weeks - they predict it will take 2 - 6 weeks for everything to start getting back to normal.
Just not to change my "Doctor-a-day" cycle, went to the GP today for review & check up. He seemed pleased with my general health - the blood tests will tell the rest.

I hope this did help - helped me keep focus as well.

Hope your round is as uneventful as mine -

Last week's 3 month interval PSA is back - still undetectable per the folks at Bostwick! :-)

Next check is set for December 15, and we'll hope for a big zero for Christmas again this year.

I may be a zero, but the urinary frequency, bowel issues, and fatigue don't notice the number. My afternoon nap was just short on keeping me awake through the support group meetin tonight. Think I faded once or twice.
Need to get them trained right.

Just an update - noticed this would be my #500 post, so will make it an update.

Incontinence has worsened a bit - three pads some days. Bowels have settled a little, but afternoon naps are still a must to get past 7 pm awake. The "don't fart" rule still applies.

Cialis is still cash down a black hole, but then not much to hope for there. I'm learning how to cut pills.

The GP did a bank of blood tests, and says that except for seriously low red and white counts, which are expected after radiation, all is within reasonable limits for my age.

Had a 6-month recheck this week on a past cancer bout, and am still clear on that one as well, so can't complain too much.

Someone posted about timing for giving blood - I got off easy on that - was in the UK for many months in agricultural areas during the Mad Cow issues, so am banned forever from the Red Cross.

Let's have a good, safe 4th of July, for the Yanks - Aussies and Brits over the world, tip a pint for your Yank PCa buddies. Stay safe - and David, no road trips tomorrow!

Radiation ended 6 weeks ago, 40 weeks out from DaVinci today.
Had my last review with the Rad. oncologist. They've handed me back to the urologist & GP.

Problems with incontinence, stream, bowels, and fatigue have worsened slightly, but my GP warned me that this was expected. Can't get the doctors to agree on that.

Had blood drawn for an ultra-sensitive PSA, just to set a baseline. Normal PSA has come back as undetectable from Bostwick so far, but found that they were doing standard tests, so I insisted on a retest. Insurance might not like that -

Why ? Are you not high risk ?

I am mulling over whether to do SRT given I am pt3aN0
after my open RP. I have rising PSA immediately at the
3, 4 and 6 month points of 0.224, 0.247, and 0.29.

Very overwhelming....and I am confused for sure. Internal markers? I thought the external tattoos were so they could target where needed. Let me ask you all this...would you all do it over again? Are dealing with all the side effects woth it? Has anyone asked their doctor "what happens if I don't get treatment?" Are we looking at quantity of life over quality of life? I know I have read that most men just blow off the nudity and humiliating features of this wholw process but just not sure I am there. Really scared and really depressed and really would love to know what happens without treatment. Sorry...just not in a good place now.
