This is exactly the sort of thing I was looking for when I made my first post here! Thanks for posting this. It sounds like seeds are the way to go when I finally need treatment. Haven't officially started AS, but it's what I hope to do. I will see the doc tomorrow. Last time I talked to the doc he told me seeds will make my urinary problems worse. Right now they are handled pretty well with FlowMax. Is it within the realm of possibilities that I can have seeds implanted and still be able to cope with the additional stress my prostate will have to endure. I can't pee every 30 minutes for months... Only thing is why didn't they add Proton or traditional EBRT to the study? Thanks again for posting this!

A study was posted on the New Prostate Cancer Infolink comparing quaility of life issues after Robotic, open surgery, Brachytherapy and Cryosurgery.

Summary of results:
Urinary functions: Brachytherapy patients had significantly better functions than robotic or open patients.
Sexual functions; Brachytherapy patients had significantly better return to sexual function. There was no difference in Robotic vs open.
Bowel funtions. No difference between any of the treatments.
