My name is Kasia Campbell and I am a doctoral candidate at the University of Nottingham, UK.
I would like to invite all prostate cancer patients and survivors, their families and friends, who have ever used ANY prostate cancer online chat or message boards to participate in this short survey. I would like to hear from Healing Well members and non-members, those who post messages, and also from those, who only visit this board to read messages. The link to the survey is at the bottom of this message.
This survey is part of my PhD research project concerned with the ways participation in online chat groups and message boards influences the lives of men with prostate cancer, their families and friends. We would like to hear from you, to find out if and how your life has been affected by being part of this or any other Internet Community.
The survey takes 15-30 minutes to complete, depending on how much you would like to write.
It is anonymous – we will not ask you for any personal information, such as names, addresses, email addresses.
Your help is greatly appreciated – your responses will help us gain better insight into prostate cancer patients’ and their families experiences with chat groups and message boards. We aim to publish the results in academic journals, to help health professionals better understand how Internet Communities can affect the lives of patients’ and their families’. Please feel free to forward this link to your family and friends, because without your help we cannot expand our knowledge about the role of Internet Communities.
To start the survey, please click on the link below. If you have trouble accessing this link, please cut and paste it or type it into your Internet browser.

Thank you for your time and all the best
Kasia Campbell
