A FANTASTIC RESULT TO THE MEDICAL YEAR FROM HELL 2009

The story of the Medical Travels that Lynn and I endured through 2009 have been well documented here.

As a result, for the first time Lynn and I have been able to fully take advantage of listing medical expenses/deductions on our tax return.

The humongous refund we are due (just filled out my taxes) has made everything just a little more palatable.

The moral of the story is; keep track of every mile and little expense and ALWAYS LOOK FOR THE SILVER LINING IN EVERY DARK CLOUD.

Today has truly been a "BONUS DAY". The coffers for the 2010 RV Travel Extravaganza just took a big plus and jump.

Thank you for the kind words.

The little windfall is actually more like a big chunk of the forest fell down and landed in my front yard. If I can keep Lynn from socking it away for the proverbial "Rainy Day". It should fund our travels for the entire year.

As far as the Rainy Day saving syndrome, I have to keep reminding Lynn that it seems to pour over us about every other week. We don't need to save it, we need to enjoy the carp out it. LOL

Money doesnt take the pain and anquish away, but it helps! Glad to hear that news. Aflac has wished they never signed my wife up for a cancer policy years ago, they have been paying and paying and paying ever since they met me. She probably has gotten her premiums paid back 20 fold at least.

Enjoy the bounty,that's what its for. Forget this rainy day nonsense, spend and enjoy.

- so glad you are one step closer to your RV trip - it may not take all your worries away , but will certainly give you a break while you reap the rewards of the silver lining -

- my taxes are done in the milk crate box routine - dump every file and every expense receipt in it and low and behold , it adds up - especially the medical expenses (AND the premiums paid into health insurance and prescription coverage).

It may be different in USA but in Canada the premiums paid out can be deducted and that helped a great deal.

-once again - congrats on the windfall - we are sorry about the numbers but hopefully that cloud will dissipate and you can look back at 2010 and say hoorah to a wonderful journey that year!

Okay then, Sonny, Lynn, if it's a May start you should hit Canada mid-June.

We'll try to get the snow melted for you, and lock up the polar bears. Don't forget your long underwear and some frozen fish for the dog sled teams pulling your RV out of the permafrost mud holes.

And, a shotgun for the mosquitoes is always a good idea to have with your black bear spray.

Plus those signs warning of moose on the road aren't kidding. Them's big fellas and you hit one with that RV it's gonna like like a Volkswagen.

We've got the red coats (Mounties) on the alert for your arrival.
