Even though this catheter was put in only 9 days ago, and at the time, the doctor did a major flush out of my bladder, this afternoon, the catheter went into a total blockage. The only indication, I was out earlier in the afternoon with my son shopping, and when I came home to rest, the leg bag was mostly bloody, first time since the cath change. So I emptied it, and rested watching tv. Started feeling a lot of pressure, and notice the leg bag didn't have a drop in it after about
2 hours. Fortunately, my wife was handy, and she irragated it twice for me, though we didn't see anything that looked like it might have blocked it. Cautiously draining on its own since into the night bag. But it will make me nervous the rest of the night worrying about
it. Good thing, if needed, my own uro is on duty tommorow in my area, if I had to call him. My bladder neck is now swollen and hurting, but not surprised even after a short blockage.
