Post RALP Abdominal Swelling

Am about a month out of RALP, and everything going fairly well (except for small hernia at navel incision, which can be fixed). I do have some remaining distension along my lower abdomen. No, it is not remnants of a beer belly! I have no pain or fever, am completely continent, and there are no other adverse symptoms. I am assuming that this there is some more healing which needs to take place, either that or I have not done a sit up in a month and my belly is growing slightly. Anybody with this experience a month after RALP? Thanks, I am most appreciative of this Forum!

for a guy that's only a month out of surgery, you are doing extremely well. too hard to compare, would never be apple to apple, as there are too many variable from guy to guy. hope your recovery continues to do so well, and hopefully you will be soon into the zero club.

My guess is that you are assuming correctly.

I still have some small but noticeable "outpouchings" and I am 3 1/2 months post-surgery. I was worried that it might be a hernia, but apparently not.
