Managing bone met pain

Just wondering if anyone out there is dealing with bone met pain. If you are how are you controlling the pain? Are there painkillers that will help? Just preparing.

There are lots of painkillers. Doc and I are just starting to experiment. Hydrocodone works, but is very constipating. Am now on Fentanyl (generic Duragesic) patches and trying to find the right dose. This is heavy duty opiod stuff.

Gordy, I know they say that about Hydrocodone in general, but must vary, as most things do, I have been on it everyday for over 7 months now, and doesn't have any constipating effect with me.

Thought they also controlled some bone met pain with single "zaps" of radiation, according to something my radiation oncologist told me.
