Well, finally had my Brachytherapy yesterday Wed 5/26. Was accomplished at the Chicago Prostate Cancer Center, Westmont, IL It was absolutely a "piece of cake", about
three hours door to door. Only pain was the needle stick in the back of the left hand to administer the "twilight" anesthetic etc. Great stuff with absolutely NO hangover. Got a bunch of pills to take for a while and only discomfort, and very little at that, is that it's like sitting on a golf ball for a couple days. No big deal though. For the older guys who are newly diagnosed with PC, they should certainly at least look into Brachytherapy. So, I have now joined the ranks of the Brachy guys and just need to get a PSA every three months. It was so easy that even I could do it.
