Been away from the forum for a while and been missing all of you. Thought I better stop in and say hello.

Lynn and I are hitting the road on Wednesday. We are going to the mountains in Dillard, Ga. and Highlands, NC for about 10 days.

Then we are heading to East St. Louis, Illinois and over the border to O'Fallon, MO. My son is playing Independent Baseball in the Frontier League out of Kalamazoo, Michigan. His team will be on the road and we are going to catch his games in IL and MO while we are up that way. In all we plan to spend about 3 weeks on the road. It will be the longest trip we have taken since buying the RV. Really looking forward to it.

On the PCa front not much has changed since my last report. I met with the new RO and am scheduled to see him the week we get back. We are going to start radiation on the met in my leg the following week. No recent PSA tests. My doc said he wanted to wait 3 months from the last one before doing it again. I am sure that when I see him next the subject of HT is going to come up. Really been wrestling with that one. This trip will give me a much needed break from all of the thinking about HT and PCa.

Really just wanted to say hello to all and continue to hope that all of you and your families are doing well.

Hey Sonny...........what team does your son play for? I follow the Independent Leagues, being a baseball fanatic myself. Caught a Sioux City Explorers game in Iowa a couple of years ago..........I find it interesting catching some guys' names who have been in the bigs and are now in the Indies------Timo Perez, Duaner Sanchez, Kevin Millar--all currently playing for teams. Hope your break serves you well.

Arnie, he is playing for the Kalamazoo Kings of the Frontier League. They haven't been doing too well this year and as of now my son is the only Lefty on the staff. He has only been there about 2 weeks and is still feeling his way around the team and the league. It's a big adjustment for him just coming out of college. He is the youngest guy on the team at 22yo. But he is also one of the biggest at 6'6" and 230. He seems to be really enjoying it so far.

When you get to Dillard you will be about 35 minutes from my house. Lets see if we can connect for lunch while you are up there. Not sure how to go about that, can we access emails on here? We can then exchange cell numbers. Wpuld love to meet you and Lynn. Hey, you have to be proud of your son.

Drive safe, enjoy, and it looks like you're only going to be 1,000 miles, or something, from where I live. Let me know if you push north. It would be great to meet you and Lynn.

Kalamazoo is about 3 hours away from us.  Again, if you are heading NE from Kzoo, you are heading our way. Keep in touch. We have room to put you up or if you are rushed maybe we can meet somewhere for lunch!

We will be there Thursday evening and our friends are not joining us until Saturday pm. Lynn and I have a couple of days and plan to go driving and looking around before they get there.

Sheldon, I stop by once in a while and take a look see and I too look for your name. Hope everything is going well for you and the metals business. Doesn't look like we'll make it that far north this trip, but it's definitely on my list.

Mel, we won't get that far north this time, but we'll be back up to Kalamazoo before the season is over I hope.

Hey Sonny, glad you stopped in to visit. BTW, never did get your e-mails about the GA campground. Watch out in Highlands, everything there costs ridiculous amounts of money because they can. Highlands only about 90 mins from me, still owed you some SC BBQ.

Always great to have you pop in! Have a wonderful time on your trip! I imagine it will be a great memory maker! I think HW has a new favorite baseball team ;)

Have a safe trip Sonny.  My wife and I just returned today from 8 days in Blue Ridge where we rented a cabin and just enjoyed each other and relaxed, with some antiquing, rented a jet ski for a few hours.   while there we drove over to Murphy then over to Franklin and Highlands to take a few photos of the falls, then ate a late lunch at the Dillard house.

again enjoy your trip and hope your son's team success.

Sonny --- I read what Mel had to say about your son being a little small for baseball. Actually, when I read his stats I was reminded of the movie, Blind Side, which we watched on the weekend. It's about another "petite" player --- this time football.

Anyways, here in Canada, he'd be plenty big as I imagine he could touch second base with his right leg, while keeping his left on first.

Our team is called the Goldeyes and the guy that owns them is a friend of mine, so if I can play agent and pick up a fee on making the introduction, let me know.

Sorry to hear you don't think you'll make it this far on this trip. Keep in touch though. We live in hope.

Be sure you eat at the Dillard House, it is awesome.  If you are coming east on I-40 let me know, maybe we can get together for a cup of coffee or something.
