I found healingwell last year about a week after davinci.

I hope you can hang around and help out.

Thanks guys. It is comforting to be in touch with others in the same boat.


Question: I had the caterer removed today and the plumbing seems to be working but the stream is very low. Any advice or comments.

HBI - just go with the flow ( pun intended ) - things are swollen and working at getting back to (your new) normal... don't force the issue or dwell too much on it ... you are in recovery mode... just have fluids go in and have fluids go out ... don't overdo it - and if in pain or not coming out - call your doc or local hospital ..
-there are a great bunch of guys here ( some with supportive wives/spouses as well) who are at different points in this journey - they will help you just as others have helped them.

When my cath first came out my stream was about 40% of pre-op. Trouble aiming because of a tendency to spray. It took about three months to get up to 60%, a level which was tolerable. Now at over a year I am perhaps at 70% and don't even notice the loss.

Welcome HBI You've found a great bunch of folks with experience and knowledge on just about all aspects of PCa.

As to flow, I was seriously disappointed with my initial flow, as has been said things are swolen and healing down there and after a few weeks I was at a rate of flow I hadn't seen in years.
