My friend mentioned to me about benefits of moderate cognac consumption   Your feedback will be appreciated.

I haven't heard of this one although moderate (one glass/day) red wine consumption seems to be gaining medical acceptance.

Obviously if you are post surgery and having leakage problems you need to be careful about any alcohol consumption.

I have a friend who was diagnosed with an advanced stage of PCa at about 50 years old. He had no wish to suffer the side-effects of surgery or radiation. His research uncovered a doctor from Russia that promoted a very strict diet designed as a chemotherapy agent against PCa. Along with peculiar foods, the diet included judicious use of vodka. His tumor shrank significantly during this treatment.

I did not choose to follow his treatment example.

My wife showed me an article in one of her magazines once that said single malt scotch had relatively more anti-oxidants than red wine. As if I needed another excuse. Maybe cognac also has the same benefits as red wine.
