Hello, I am two weeks post RP and last night I got up three times to urinate and each time I had about a tablespoon of bright red blood followed by normal urine.  This morning it seems to have cleared up.  Last weekend I noticed weak flow and some pain with urination so the PA put me on antibiotics. The stream and pain are getting better now, but I am concerned about the blood last night. Any similar experiences out here?

friends,  not sure how to answer this but I can tell you that just a little blood in urin looks like there is much more there.  If you did any kind of strain that could cause a bit of blook.  Might want to call the Dr. office just to be sure.

Friends, yes, you'll probably find many similar experiences to that. Somewhere in here you'll see my post about my experience.. which is ongoing actually. I had RP on May 17.. probably mid June started having blood after every urination. Pain too. We thought it was and checked for UTI.. was not. Dr said it was likely just still healing. Just last week went to hospital to give urine sample as rad onc does not want to begin till that is fixed or figured out. Sameple came back yesterday as negative (whatever that means, I assume negative for UTI, again).. But as I told my Urologist's staff, the bleeding had stopped since I went to give the sample last week. We all thought that was great... just healing. But then last night I noticed it again.. urinate, some pain towards the end, then a small trail of blood after. This morning it is gone again, no blood. I did have an active day the day before, swimming, walking, etc.. so maybe I shook things up. Anyhow, you are 2 weeks post op, I wouldn't be worried too much about having a little blood... they had to reconnect all that plumbing.. I would be expecting some blood. Tell your doc, but I wouldn't start worrying too much quite yet. Best of luck.
