I Can't Believe It !!!!!

Why does anyone act like its a surprise that doctors, surgeons, hospitals, treatment centers, radiation centers, etc, aren't about profit? That side of it is no different than any other kind of business. Even at the Not-For-Profit establishments, what a regular business calls "profit" is simply reported as "surplus". Just basic accounting at work.

In areas of much competition for patients, its stands to reason that you would see advertising in all the various forms of media. When we went to St. Petersburg, FL last year, I can remember seeing all the billboards for competing robot centers. In the more limited area that I live in, have never seen or heard an ad, because there really isn't anything to choose from.

Business is business, and a patient with any problem is a fairly traded asset to grab up to the quickest "buyer".

Having said this, it still doesn't mean that you can't and don't get excellent services for the money.

And if you dared to talk about a socialized systems of health care, then everyone would throw a fit about that too. You can't have it both ways.
